August Gathering

FernStar crept into the crowd of cats. She gently padded to the Great Rock, unseen and unheard. She sat next to TaintedStar and smiled. "Hello, sorry I am late," she meowed. She licked her paw then began to clean her face. "Shall we start the gathering?" she asked.

"Yes we shall," meowed TaintedStar. He looked at SilverMist and nodded for her to come back onto the rock. She was to speak first. He removed his tail from BlackStar's back, and then stepped forward. "The tom is gone," he whispered as he could see every face there. He began to howl, and he could here the other's join him. The gathering has begun.

SilverMist walked up onto the rock and howled with TaintedStar. Then She stepped forward just like him. "Welcome, Cats of all Clans, the Gathering shall begin now." she said. "I know many of you have heard the rumors about ShadowClan, but you should hear the true story. Yes I have retired, but I am not considered an elder, I just wanted to settle down and have kits. TaintedStar, is the new leader," she said as she pointed to him, to stepped forward, then he began to talk.

"Yes I am the new ShadowClan leader,"

he mowed, confirming SilverMist. "I have some announcements for ShadowClan," he meowed clearing his throat, "although SilverMist has retired, we are prospering and still are stong and ready for the new challenges."

_{Brightface was startled slightlly, not expecting the call of her name. "Hi Silvermist!" the black she-cat meowed, glad to see her good friend again. She tried her best to push her emotions to the back of her mind as she spoke. "I've been good, I guess," she meowed, forcing herself to smile. But before she could return the question, Taintedstar agreed to start the gathering, and Silvermist jumped onto the rock next to him. What tom is gone? the deputy wondered. So much has been going on lately... It's hard to process it all sometimes...}

((sorry its short, im a little tired and sorry im so inactive .-.))

A black cat with white spots at his paws and a white chest flickered his tail and went to where the other deputies were. He looked... tired, defeated, angry. Blood was dripping on his claws and his eyes - eye - showed anger. As he walked to find a spot near the other deputies, he felt his fur prickle and cats staring at him, mumbling. DeadEye quickly turned around and glared at them, making them fear him. The cats stopped mumbling and slowly backed away, ears down. He grunted and then sat down, his eyes into slits. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted his leader, LightingStar. The tom knew what was gonna happen. LightingStar spots him, pound him to death to what happened and get angry. But he didn't care. Only anger and defeat flowed in his wounds, blood drying on his matted fur. Ribs showing, some dirt on his fur and other things were showing too. DeadEye looked at the sky and saw stars. He didn't think of them as StarClan. Just stars. Twinkling at him. Laughing at his defeat.

Then, he blacked out, moaning.

SilverMist froze as she watched the injured deputy enter the gathering. She rushed down to him as soon as he blacked out. She looked at him, then she began to lick his wounds. She knew she would need a Medicine Cat's help, but she couldn't see any. "Help!" she shouted. She looked over at the other leaders, she began to worry. Was this the toms fault? she thought. She began to lick the blood of of his face. "Who did this to you?" she whispered into his ear.

TaintedStar searched the clearing for a Medicine Cat, he couldn't see one. He rushed down to help SilverMist help DeadEye. "Is there anything you need?" he asked her. He began to pace back and forth, waiting for her reply.

SilverMist looked at him. "I need cobwebs and poppy seeds," she blurted out.

Whiterain stepped forward from behind his leader. Bloodclan had just entered the clearing. "I'm a medicine cat." he meowed softly. His pale eyes scanned fleetingly over the injured deputy. Deadeye had some serious wounds.

Mercurystar narrowed her eyes at Deadeye. What cat in their right mind would appear at a Gathering in that state? Must be embarrassing to the leader. She huffed, reminding herself that her brother was in WindClan, the wounded deputy's clan. The leader spotted Saturnring in the crowd, watching the scene unfold with his careful eyes.

SilverMist stood as the warrior stepped forward. "Just tell me what to do," she whispered. She looked at TaintedStar. "Would you calm down!" she shouted at him. He looked at her then began pacing again. TaintedStar went back to the deputy and began to lick his wounds.

TaintedStar was frustrated. Why would she yell at me like that

Whiterain looked to his leader automatically for permission. Mercurystar nodded solemly at him and he paced forward, lowering his head to sniff the wounds. "You were right to suggest cobwebs and poppyseed, but we need marigold as well... He mentally ran through a list of herbs in his head.

Mercurystar hovered a short moment before trotting off to sit beside one of her warriors, Nova.

Nova glanced merely at her leader. It was surprising she'd allow Whiterain to heal one of her enemies, especially the WindClan deputy whom she despised. Was this part of her plan to gain the Clans' trust? She wasnt sure, but either way the medicine cat wouldve nagged her to heal the pitiful cat anyway.
