August Gathering

Ok August is here and the gathering shall begin kinda where the last one left off.

Silvermist walked up to the Great Rock. She smiled at the other ShadowClan warriors. She looked over at TaintedStar, he was on his way up. "Hi," she meowed, "I am planning to talk to the warriors, is that all right with you?" Silvermist walked to the side giving TaintedStar room to stand. She was kinda taking it all.

TaintedStar walked into the gathering, ShadowClan following. He looked up at the rock, Silvermist was already there. He looked up at her and smiled. "Hello," he meowed back at her. "It is fine if you talk to them, it would really clear some confusion," he said.

The Thunderclan Deputy trotted into the clearing, her tail held high. Her azure gaze flitted to Silvermist and Taintedstar. Ferntail paused, curious about their conversation.
"Perhaps not", she murmured moving onwards.

Carrionclaw followed silently behind the Shadowclan leader, the golden eyes focused firmly on the path ahead. Another gathering was passing with the season. He sat down and turned his gaze to the Great Rock, faithfully listening.

Lightningstar padded into the clearing, her head and tail held high, her frame borne with a noble grace, as if she were a queen. In a way, she was. Leadership was not that much different.
She reached the Great Rock, and bounded up in one smooth, langurous movement that caused her muscles to ripple underneath her fur.
She was not weak. Her absence from the Clan had not depleated her enormous strength.
She sat down, and waited.

Breezefeather plopped down on the edge of the gathering hollow. She really didn't feel like talking at the moment, and hoped that no one came up to her. Sure, there was supposed to be a moment of truce during the full moon, but still....

Whiteflame was sitting rather close to the base of the Great Rock. She wanted to hear EVERYTHING, this gathering.
Lightningstar had returned, and the other leaders were still testing her mettle.
RiverClan is not weak! She thought hautilly.

Whiskerpool followed his deputy. His tail was slung low, and his eyes were half-drooped, lending the ThunderClan tom an air of aloofness.
When Ferntail padded over the the Great Rock, Whiskerpool halted. He would try and mingle. And maybe see a certain pretty she-cat.

Snowstorm was at the edge of the gathering hollow, his appointed place. He needed to be able to see everything possible. Tonight promised to be interesting, and the omens were. . .tenuous, at best.

"Hello LightningStar," TaintedStar and Silvermist said at once. "Jinx catch me a vole," Silvermist bolted out. ((is it jinks or jinx?)) TaintedStar chuckled at SilverMist's comment. "I was serious" meowed SilverMist with a serious look. "Ok," replied TaintedStar as he padded into the ShadowClan territory and snatched a vole. "There," he said dropping it at her feet. "Don't you know anything? The clan is fed first. No go take that back to camp and stick it in the prey pile," she meowed with a grin. "You have to be kidding me," he said. "No I'm not, but I guess I can eat this then you can catch two more and stick those in the pile," she meowed. "Fine," he said.

"Hello, Silvermist. Hello, Taintedstar," Lightningstar said, putting Silvermist in front on purpose.

((remember 100 words Breezy ill let it slide tho)) "Hey Lightning, I was wondering," SilverMist began as she looked into the leader's eyes, "do you mind if I speak for ShadowClan on my behalf to clear all the questions?" She smiled, then looked over at TaintedStar. She knew what he was thinking, because he obviously was zoned out like she does. "Also have you heard the news about ThunderClan?" she asked. "I heard that BrightStar is no longer leader, but I guess we get to find out tonight," TaintedStar jumped in. I guess he wasn't out of it, SilverMist thought. "Yeah that's what I heard too," she meowed.

Silently, but quickly paws padded against the earth. Amberish greenish eyes glittered out from behide the High Rock. A black coat of fur rippled like the water. Than silently the cat took a step into the moonlight, white paws glittered and when the rest of the she-cat appeared her white fur turned silver and her eyes sparkled like the moonlight. "Hello Lightningstar, Silvermist, Taintedstar. Everyone Else." She said dipping her head to each leader and old leader and than warriors. Looking at the moon the she-cat set down and looked at the moon. 'I wish this gathering would start. I would love that.' She thought softly.

"Hello BlackStar," SilverMist meowed. "LightningStar and TaintedStar this is the new WindClan leader. Ashfur was murdered, last night they found her body. Sorry to tell you guys the news so late. I was more concerned about ThunderClan. Which was really ignorant of me, sorry. Well BlackStar, how does leader feel to you?" she asked. "You know what lately we have been getting new leaders. TaintedStar, BlackStar and FernStar are all new. It's odd. And in a way you are too Lightning." she said.

TaintedStar smiled at the new leader. She was beautiful, they actually looked much alike both black. The only difference was their eye colors. TaintedStar had blue eyes, beautiful blue eyes that shined like stars. And she had an amber tinted green, or a green tinted amber. It was hard to tell. "Hello, BlackStar," he meowed.

Blackstar nodded softly. "Leader's life is different but it is easy to work with." She said looking at Silvermist. Than turning to Taintedstar. "Hello again." She smiled lightly. Giving off her gentle amber tinted green eyes. Licking her paw she drew it over her ear in a rhyme. Over, over, over, lick, over, over, over, lick. 'This will be fun I hope.' She thought looking at the sky with small eyes. Wiggling her small nose she scented everything around her clear as the morning dew. Looking at the rock once more her fur pickled with happyness. She couldn't wait for her chance to look down apon the warriors, medicine cats, deputies and even apprentices at the meeting. Taking in a deep breath she looked around. "Do we wait for the last leader to come to jump onto the High rock?" She was speaking to Silvermist mostly. She never really looked at the High rock when the leaders jumped on. She only looked when she heard the howl.

Demonheart slid into the gathering. Her orange pelt giving off a faint glow in the moonlight as she took her place in the crowd. She sat in front of the highrock and curled her tail around her paw's. Demonheart hunched her shoulder's and silently looked at what was around her. Her long claw's slid in and out. When is the gathering going to start?, she thought. Demonheart was edgy tonight, for no reason. Her leader's murder had put an impact on this cat. Demonheart was set to finding the murderer, and she thought being at a gathering wasn't going to help her do it.

SilverMist looked at BlackStar then smiled. "No we don't have to wait to go to the rock, but we should wait to start gathering. But lets go to the rock anyway." "So umm what do you plan to do about the murder?" she asked. SilverMist stood and began to walk to the Great Rock.

TaintedStar smiled at BlackStar, he liked her. He didn't know why there was just this strong attraction to her that he had. He wondered of anything would ever happen in between them leading to a relationship. It was against the warrior code to mate with another clan, but she was an exception in his eyes. It would be such a bad example for the clan members, especially if it was two leaders. It would never happen, he thought. He began to walk to the rock next to SilverMist. But SilverMist mated with StormHeart and he was the ThunderClan Deputy before, he thought, no its not going to happen.

Blackstar followed Silvermist and meowed softly, "Ok, I'll jump first." She said leaping upwards onto the rock. Turning slightly she cought Taintedstar and purred. "Here you have Silvermist to help you, help me won't you?" She asked blinking fast. She than sat down and curled her tail around her paws. As she was standing on the highrock she looked at Taintedstar. 'I never noiced he looks kinda like me.... Odd...' She Quickly turned her head and a flash of moon-light washed over her, leaving her pelt sparkle like a shadow that had be drowned in cool sparkling water. Her eyes sparkled in the moonlight and she felt alittle scared as she noiced that there was a few cats but picturing the rest she felt her pelt ripple. Than she noiced Silvermist had said something. "What was that?" She asked softly.

TaintedStar smiled at her. "Of course I will help," he meowed. He definetly like her. Why hadn't her seen her before, when she was deputy? He jumped onto the rock after BlackStar. Then smiled again, he was falling in love. He sat next to her then looked out at SilverMist. She was about to jump. He jumped back down to help her.

"Thankyou," SilverMist meowed as TaintedStar helped her up the rock, then he jumped back up. "I have no idea what that was," SilverMist meowed at BlackStar, "but I don't think it's our friend." SilverMist looked terribly worried, and so did TaintedStar.

"I don't know what kinda of beast is doing this but I hope we can stop it." She said stoping. She looked up at the sky amd prayed that the beast wouldn't attack tonight. " I was scared to come to the gathering, I mean leaving my clan behind when I don't know what's happening. What if one of my warriors or apprentice try to reach me and he or she gets killed!" Blackstar shook alittle but than brushed it off like dirt. Stoping she looked at Taintedstar, "I am really thankful Shadowclan came and helped." She blinked gracefully at Taintedstar and than nodded respectfully to Silvermist.}

"I think we should start the gathering," she began. "it might be weaker if we do something that it doesn't expect. Obviously it's a smart animal, most likely a former warrior, because who else would know to kill a leader, or attack the night of a full moon? It might attack tonight we must all be on our toes. We can't let this happen." SilverMist stood and looked around the cats, seeing if there was any that looked suspicious, she didn't see anything odd or pecular.

TaintedStar looked at BlackStar, "You are welcome," he meowed. TaintedStar looked around like SilverMist. "Wasn't it white?" he asked looked down at a pure white male, large very large.

_{Blackstar Looked at Taintedstar and than at the rest of the cats. "I do not know I was out hunting when this all happen. Ummm White i do not know." Blackstar looked at the cats below and noiced that nothing seemed odd, everyone looked normal, apart from the large white tom. "I don't think I've meet him.... Before." Blackstar's fur bristled as she tried to remember the night her leader died. Yes it wasn't that long ago but she tried to forget it and mostly did. Was it a white cat? Forcing her fur to lie flat her memories flowed back to her, but only parted jaws came to her, and than pain of running after rabbits than to camp after hearing dogs and much more pain. She opened her eyes.}

SilverMist stepped up to the front of the rock, "Should I start the gathering now?" she whispered, "even with a suspect in front of us?" SilverMist stepped back, she didn't think it was a good idea.

TaintedStar smiled, "Look SilverMist we can handle this, we should start the gathering, but lets wait for FernStar and keep an eye on that white cat. If he leaves the gathering, we now something is up. Does that sound like a plan to all of you?" TaintedStar licked his paw then looked at each of their faces.

Blackstar meowed outloud than turning to Taintedstar she meowed in his ear, "Wouldn't it be saver if one of use talked to the tom or sat next to him?" Their was that gleam in her eye, fear but it was mixxed with an unreadable feeling. Sitting back she waved at the large white tom and waited for his reply. Looking at everyone else Blackstar noiced that barely anyone from Windclan was here. Shaking her head softly she wondered why they didn't get their lazy butts to the gathering, spotting her deputy she smiled. At least someone came.}

Lightningstar fell silent at the news of a new leader of ThunderClan.

She was not new! She had been leader long before Taintedstar gained his nine lives! She had just been...inconvienanced.

And Ashstar was dead! And the new leader was Blackstar! But! What about Demonheart?

Murdered......dead. Killed by--another cat? Taintedstar and Silvermist are looking awful suspicous.

And what were those looks Tainted star was giving Blackstar? Ahem? Is he. . .dare I say? Is he interested, and not in the good way, in Blackstar? What a pip!

And where's that deputy of mine? Deadeye?

"I can't wait to see Fernstar again. I imagine he'll make a good leader," Lightningstar said languidly, betraying naught a thought that had raced acrossed her mind.

"I think that is a good idea," meowed TaintedStar to BlackStar. "Would you like to sit next to him?" he asked. TaintedStar licked his right paw, then his left then glanced at each of their faces. Then gave a glare at the white male. TaintedStar then turned his gl.are at BlackStar then turned it slowling into a gaze. He definitely like her, and he probably couldn't stop it either.

SilverMist looked at TaintedStar. So intelligent, yet so stupid,[/color] she thought. She smiled at LightningStar, she looked angry and misunderstood. "I agree FernStar will be a wonderful leader," she replied to Lightning. .

_{Blackstar nodded softly. Looking up at Taintedstar she meowed softly, "Ummm I'm going to say hi....." Waving her tail slightly she leapt down. Walking quietly over to the tom she sat down. "Hello." She said looking at the tom, with a friendly look. But her tail was poofed out in fear. "I'm Blackstar." Fear was slowly creeping up her spin. What if this is the murder! What if he attacks! Oh no Starclan... I'm scared.... She thought her friendly smile disapeared. Quickly she looked back at Taintedstar and softly nodded. She smiled softly, and winked. It was odd. She never winked at any cat. She smiled again.}

TaintedStar smiled as she left, he was afraid too. As she walked down to the warrior, TaintedStar watched his every move. He looked a little suspicious or guilty which ever you prefer. He winked back her, weird. He them smiled at SilverMist.

SilverMist looked at the two. She could tell that there was an attraction in between them. That's going to be a hard secret to keep, she thought. SilverMist looked at Lightning. "So what's happening in your world?" she meowed. She licked her tail trying to get rid of sap from a tree she ran into earlier that day.

_{Looking at the white tom Blackstar watched the tom deeply answer, "Go back to the highrock." Blackstar slightly growled but turned and leapt back to the top. Her eyes burned with angry and she nearly ripped off her own fur just to attack the rude warrior. Rude, dis-respectful...ohhhh She was looking at Taintedstar again. She had only new him for such a short time but she felt different. Gently She curled her tail around herself, but slightly touching Taintedstar's paw. She slightly blushed but than purred. She drew a paw over her left ear. She than noiced her chest fur was ruffle. Licking it till it's was perfect she looked at the cats below.}

"What happened? Why are you back so soon?" he asked extremely confused. Although, he was pleased, he believed she liked him back. But you can never tell the real true feeling of another unless you can read minds. He smiled trying to comfort himself and to keep under control. It looked like a bad depart. He didn't want her to feel insulted or anything, or have any second thoughts about him. Did she really like him, or was she trying to betray him? or trick him into sin?

A smile was creeping across her face. She licked her paw again and looked at the white tom, right in the eyes. 'I wish I new if he was the killer? Than I would be able to sleep at night. Ummm I wonder....' She thought turning her soft gaze onto Taintedstar. 'I wonder if he likes me. I would be surpised, but it's the warrior's code that I can not be with him... oops i mean. What am I thinging about it not like..' "He can hear me." She said the last four words out-loud. Her eyes glowed with fear that he had heard.}

SilverMist looked at BlackStar, he was rude to her. SilverMist sprinted down to the rock strait to the white tom. Yes you could tell he was strong and he didn't look at all familiar. She smiled at him, faking it though. "Hello," she meowed. He didn't look to happy. "What do you want?" he hissed back. "What clan are you from?" she asked still smiling. "That is none of your business, no go away. I don't need some kit to tell me what to do," he snapped. "Some kit huh? Some kit? Well you're the kit for being so immature and rude only a kit would do that to a former leader, especailly a former ShadowClan leader. I am supposed to be treated with respect and care as the elders are, why can't you do that? Oh I remember you are just a kit." she said as she stormed away. She was steamed, she couldn't even look at him anymore. She sat next to BlackStar on the rock as she mumbled angrily under her breath.

TaintedStar smiled at BlackStar. "What?" he asked. He wasn't able to here her. Did she say something personal, that TaintedStar wanted to her. He had great senses but he was distracted, how could her be able to here her? He smiled, "Come again?" he meowed.

An ebony she-cat entered the gathering, her fur almost immediately turned beautifully silver-tinted as she stepped into the moonlight. She wasn't has happy as she usually would be, and she hoped that she made the right choice by Demoting herself to let Ferntail be leader. The she-cat was still trying to figure out what even brought he to make the decision. I'm sure she'll be a great leader, Brightface told herself as she stepped closer toward the great rock; Uncertainty still glowed in her soft green eyes. Before taking her place at the base of the rock, she smiled slightly, and dipped her head in greeting to each leader. Brightface then sat, and wrapped her tail around her paws. Will other cats think less of me now? Will they think I'm weak? What does StarClan think of my decision? Have they taken away my extra lives? The she-cats gaze filled with many emotions as [seemingly] a thousand questions formed in her mind. She gave her chest fur a few quick licks to try and hide her emotions...

SilverMist saw BrightFace enter the gathering. "BRIGHTFACE!" She shouted as she jumped down to meet her beloved friend. "Hi!' she meowed excitedly. She purred and sat next to her friend. "How have you been?" she asked. SilverMist liked her paw, and purred louder. She smiled and looked into her eyes.

TaintedStar purred back at BlackStar. "I will meet you here, after the gathering," he whispered. He smiled at her and rubbed her back with his tail. I wish I knew what she was thinking, he thought. "Penny for your thoughts?" he meowed. He looked over at SilverMist, does she know? he thought.

Blackstar looked at Taintedstar and purred softly. Her paws couldn't wait to start the gathering. "I Hope this starts soon." She said with great happiness. Emotions were spinning in her head and her eyes closed for a moment. Happy, forbidden, love, fear and anger. Remembering everything that night she new that she wouldn't forget anything. She would be happy. She smiled and looked like a proud leader. Her eyes looked over the gathering, seeing Brightface. Wasn't Brightface really Brightstar? Looking at Brightface a moment longer Blackstar turned and noiced the white tom was gone. Oh no! She thought softly to herself.
