My Warrior Fanfic, to go along with a movie I am making. Post it to Youtube when its done and post it!
Here is the BEGINNING-
Wind lashed his tail. "Oh, stop being a kit," he said with a laugh, and narrowed his eyes to see better in the mist.
Raven squirmed behind him. "I don't like the feeling of this," she groaned. In reply, Wind flicked his tail, but said nothing. "Look! There's a cat. They can help us out." Wind turned his gaze and saw the faintest outline of an orange tom. He sniffed, and caught other cats in his scent.
"We don't need help," he snapped.
"Yes we do."
"No!"
"Yes!" Raven rolled his eyes. "Pompous beast... Hey, um, excuse me?"
The tom turned. "Yes, you know your trespassing? I'm Emberflame, deputy. Call me Ember"
Wind nodded, looking a little defeated as he muttered, "Where are we?"
"Ivyclan..." Silence rolled in.
"Asumming you don't know what that is. It is a mist-covered land-"
"Really?" Wind said sarcastically, to get a glare from Raven.
"Yes," Ember snapped.
Raven looked up, and saw stars shining through the mist. All of a sudden, they began to twinkle, then danced around the starry sky. Raven cocked her head- at first she thought it was her eyes playing tricks on her.
"Would you like to join Ivyclan?" The question made Raven look down.
"Maybe..." stammered Wind.
"May we stay and see if we like it?" Raven asked.
Emberflame smiled widely. "Of course," he said politely. "Follow me."
The three cats trotted through a misty forest, the deputy of his Clan explaining the territory. He said, normally, when it wasn't this foggy, you could see the river that bordered the area to three sides. Three other Clans- Fireclan, Cloudclan, and Moonclan lived on the other sides, plus Echoclan lived behind Cloudclan and Moonclan. THe forest was very mossy and cold, but cozy.
When the trio reached the camp, a small gray tom, who looked panicked, bounded over to us. "Emberflame! Emberflame!" he cried.
"What, Stormtail?" he asked immediately, eyes searching.
"My father is dying! Vinestar!" His voice trembled as he talked about his leader.
"What?" Ember screeched, and raced to where a cluster of cats stood, gaping.
A speckled gray tom stood in a pool of blood.
"His last life..."
"Is he...."
"Yes, Ember will make lovely leader..."
"Out of my way!" Emberflame squeezed through the ground and began sniffing Vinestar. "No, no no no..."
A large silver tabby padded over. "I am sorry about your mentor, son," he said in a sad voice.
"Silvertail, he can't be dead."
No reply. Instead, Silvertail turned to face the crowd. "Carry on with your duties," the elder insisted, and reluctantly, cats turned away.
"Kinkkit!" Emberflame growled. "Featherkit!"
A black tom apprentice and a gray she-cat apprentice approached.
"Yes, Emberflame?" asked the tom.
"Kinkkit- take these two to meet the others."
Kinkkit smiled. "OK, Ember! I will, even Yewrot?" he joked.
Ember flipped around, snarling. "Yewroot!" he hissed. Kinkkit nearly jumped, and looked scared. He gave a quick nod and began to pad off as quickly as possible.
"Lets do the queens and kits first," Featherkit purred, but fear still tingled in her voice. They padded into a small hut-like den.
"Hello, you two!" said a calm, sweet voice. A blue she-cat smiled warmly at them, two kits wrapped in a tail at her paws. "Heard you are getting to be apprentices tomorrow! Exciting!" Her gaze fell on Wind and Raven. "Well, who are you?"
"Meet...?" Kinkkit began, looking at the other two newcomers.
"Raven and Wind." Raven said kindly.
"Raven and Wind," echoed the kits together. "This is Streampelt, our foster mom. These are her real kits, Dripkit and Foxkit." Two sleepy looking kits, she-cats, sturred. Dripkit, a gray tabby she-cat, yawned, and Foxkit blinked. She had a flaming red pelt. At first, she looked like she was about to raise to her paws, but she collapsed into sleep. Streampelt purred and rubbed her head to hers.
"Where is your mother?" Raven asked, and immediately wished to take it back.
Both kits faces saddened. "Our mother is dead... Dad is, too."
Quiet swept across them. Featherkit flicked her tail to Streampelt and led them t the apprentice den.
