This is a poem I wrote two years ago.

I wrote this recently, it was assignment
I am
I am the joy of autumn.
I am as smooth as the sweet lips of victory.
I am as free as the early bird that catches the worm.
I am the distant laughter of the soul.
I am the beautiful evening flower.
I am a sweet savory taste.
I am the product of the breath of life.

The Love that is Lost
when someone leaves
all love is lost
many lose love
when others descend to heaven
leaving this cruel world
for good
I didn’t lose your love
your love lives on forever
as long as I know you’re there
right by my side
every moment, every breath
when the regrets overwhelm you
you forget the love
you treat it like dirt
you walk over it everyday
you stomp on it to make sure it is gone
but I know this one thing
that this lost love
will be regained
when someone leaves
all love is lost
many lose love
when others descend to heaven
leaving this cruel world
for good
I didn’t lose your love
your love lives on forever
as long as I know you’re there

Life
We may not always feel surrounded by life
But in everything we do and everything we see
Life is their shinning so bright
The sway of a tree
The ripple of the ocean water, oh what a wonderful sight
Beyond the night sky
The stars linger above
And the weeping willows cry
The sound of a croaking frog
Of a chirping cricket
The first word of a new born child
It is all part of a great and wonderful ticket
To the love of the wild
Life is in every sound and sight
We may not always feel surrounded by life
But in everything we do and everything we see
Life is their shinning so bright

Ode to Friendship
The twinkle in an eye, the burst of a spirit
The secret sharer, the problem solver
Each has it own meaning of friendship
The beginning of a lifetime
Full of love and happiness
Is all because of Friends
None of us could life without friends
We would have no one to run to
When times get ruff
When everything goes wrong
When a loved one passes away
When you have a fight with your family
Friendship is there
When we have to get something off of our chest
Friendship is there
When love disappoints
Friendship is there
Even when fights come
Between friends
Friendship is there
No matter what friendship is there

Fear Cage
My father sure knows how to compel,
It’s been a while since,
But there is something I have to tell,
I don’t like to be in that fence.
My hands start shaking,
My head starts spinning,
My stomach quaking,
All for the price of winning.
I’m not very persistent when it comes to this,
The fear overwhelms me,
My muscles tense like a clenched fist,
But to be good you have to pay the fee.
My hands start shaking,
My head starts spinning,
My stomach quaking,
All for the price of winning.
I walk into the fear cage holding on tight,
I take my stance and hope it flies,
The ball comes in and it just might,
Smack and my crowd cries.
My hands start shaking,
My head starts spinning,
My stomach quaking,
All for the price of winning.
Does it even help?
I guess we’ll see,
Is it like using a belt?
Or will it disappoint me?
My hands start shaking,
My head starts spinning,
My stomach quaking,
All for the price of winning.
Is it really worth it?
