ROYALTY POSITIONS OPEN, CANONS NEEDED, TWO KINGS OPEN!!!!
Swords of Speirling
Galloping hooves pound into the soft earth. The clash of metal rings in your ears as swords collide. Bowstrings twang. The energy of magic is in the air.
You are in medieval Scotland or Ireland in a time of war. You feel the earth quake beneath your feet in anticipation of what is to come, it is shaking now, shaking with the galloping hoof beats of great armies. Despite these unsettling circumstances, you are in a land of wonders. Great beasts peer from between the trees, dragons fly over head, prophecies unravel, and chivalry reigns. It is a time of war, but is a golden age as well.
From the center of Scotland, two forces are at each other’s throats; the Scoailte Knights at Inverness and the Sceithian Mages at Glasgow. These two armies are locked in nearly a hundred-year war for wealth, control and power, moral beliefs, and freedom. Northwest of these two powerful kingdoms, dwells another prominent force on the Outer Hebrides, the Hebridian Thains, whom are deep in a plan to seize both Saor and Sceith at each one’s weakest moment. To the far North, the banished members of society, the Shetland Outcasts, are being made to live their lives in poverty, only to be wondering what is happening on the mainland. Southwest of all this battle, the Irish Warlords on Ireland have hatched a similar plan to that of the Thains, only now they have to compete with their like-minded rivals for the chance to seize Scotland. Finally, West of Inverness, in a small kingdom called Skye, peaceful Druids walk between their stones, studying their magic and doing their best to stay out of the fray.
The great question is who will you pledge your alliance to? Events are in motion, forces are now moving, much is at stake as the thunder rolls, heralding the beginning of the Swords of Speirling. The battle is on.
