Overall Personality ∙ Reedheart is one of those cats who seems to have two personalities. On one hand, Reedheart seems quiet and reserved, especially when he's around cats he doesn't know well or isn't comfortable to be around. He is shy too, and will only speak to strangers when directly asked a question. On the other hand, when Reedheart is around friends or family, he seems like a completely different cat. He loves to make jokes or laugh along with someone else. When Reedheart gets really carried away, he even becomes loud and sometimes slightly obnoxious.
However, in either mood, Reedheart always puts others' thoughts, feelings, and needs before his own. When someone asks him for a favor, Reedheart doesn't hesitate do it, even when he doesn't feel like it. Reedheart is very protective of his loved ones, sometimes to the point where he's too protective. In fact, this these traits are the reason the second part of his name is "heart". The leader had seen how big of a heart Reedheart possessed and couldn't think of any other fitting name.

Height ∙ 16"
Overall Appearance ∙ Reedheart is a big cat. There's no other way to describe his height. He is on the heavier side, closer to twenty pounds, although most of it is muscle. However, all of his muscle is hidden behind a thick, three layer coat. Reedheart has long legs and big paws with long, clear claws. He has beautiful yellow-green eyes and very long whiskers on his face.
Reedheart's most striking feature is his coat. He has a warm, golden brown coloring throughout, with a darker brown over top. He has dark tabby stripes on his legs, face, back, and tail. Reedheart's chest and belly are dusted with white fur and his muzzle is pure white. In addition, he has big, white ear tufts and a super puffy tail that gives him an air of "cuteness".Backstory
Family History ∙
Family ∙ Stripedfoot, Father, Deceased // Barkpelt, Mother, Deceased // Larksong, Sister, Missing
Birthplace ∙ Riverclan
Background ∙ Reedkit was born in a small litter. He and his sister, Larkkit, were given their mother's full attention and completely doted on by both their parents. This was their first litter, after all. Reedkit and Larkkit looked eerily similar. The other cats of Riverclan used to joke that Barkpelt hadn’t had two kits. Rather, she had a kit that had too much personality to be contained in one kit. And so it seemed. Reedkit and Larkkit were extremely close, entirely inseparable. They finished each other’s sentences and refused to play with any other kits. When Larkkit ran into the nursery wall and hit her head, Reedkit felt the pain. The kits were stuck together like glue.
Reedkit and Larkkit became apprentices at the same time. Their mentors had trouble keeping them apart and normally they just trained with each other to skip the hassle. They advanced quickly, since the two siblings made training a competition and liked to train together. Reedpaw helped Larkpaw become a better fisher. She was too eager to wait for the right time to grab a fish. Larkpaw helped Reedpaw become a better fighter. He was too timid to act right away and in play-fighting, would always be tackled and pinned by Larkpaw before he could so much as swipe at her with his paw.
Reedpaw was to be named a warrior before Larkpaw. On the day the ceremony took place, Reedpaw faked sick and spent all day in the medicine cat’s den. The leader and medicine cat saw right through his ruse, yet played along. They knew he was doing it because he wanted Larkpaw to be named at the same time. Soon, the two apprentices were given their names, Reedheart and Larksong. They sat vigil side by side, just as inseparable as they had been since kits.
Soon after, Reedheart and Larksong were on their first border patrol as warriors with their parents, Barkpelt and Stripedfoot. They were attacked by a rouge group of cats, who had outnumbered them. The four cats fought with all their hearts, but it wasn’t enough. Finally, at a gap in the skirmish, Stripedfoot sent his kits back to camp to report what happened while the two elder warriors held off the rouges. That was the last time Reedheart or Larksong had seen their parents alive.
After their parent’s death, Larksong changed. She pushed herself away from Reedheart and began to wander outside of camp for long periods of days. Reedheart, heartbroken and not the confrontational type, had just let her go. He tried to ignore it and continue on as if nothing was wrong, yet he knew a part of himself was missing. Reedheart got his first apprentice, a bright young she-cat named Birdpaw. He threw himself into training Birdpaw, determined to make her the best warrior ever. On her proudest day, the day she became a warrior, Larksong disappeared. Reedheart hid away for days, refusing to come out and eat or socialize. Even his apprentice couldn’t bring him out of his slump. Finally, after many days of grieving and with the help of his good friends, Reedheart showed began to act like a normal cat.Sample
Reedheart stumbled into camp, confused and upset. He had heard that his sister, Larksong, hadn't returned from one of her "escapes from camp." He had just spent the whole day searching for her or any clue where she could've gone. He had found her scent, but it ended abruptly at the river.
'What if she fell in by accident? What if the current was too strong and she couldn't swim to the shore? What if she hit her head!' He couldn't help worrying about any of these possibilities, even though they were nearly impossible. Larksong was graceful; she would've never slipped. She was one of the best swimmers in Riverclan; she couldn't have been swept away by the current. As for hitting her head, it was highly unlikely, due to the fact she was too graceful. The only way she would've drowned in the river would be if she purposely jumped in and gave up.
"No! She would never do that!" Reedheart yowled, startling the few warriors out and about in camp. An outburst from the quietest cat around? Unheard of! Reedheart lowered his voice to a hoarse whisper only he could hear. "If she were dead, I'd know it. The pain would be a thousand times worse. I think I would die too."Contract
