Morningmist made her way down the slope to the Moonpool, her paws shaking slightly. It was time for StarClan to accept her as ThunderClan's full Medicine cat. She met the Moonpool and layed down, lapping the cool, starry water. She was thrown into darkness, when she reopened her eyes, a sliver light shined down on a silver cat, his fur filled with stars and and his blue eyes shined brightly. "Morningmist, welcome" he dipped his head and moved toward her, leaving the shining light behind. "Silverlight" she said, dipping her head respectfully and looking up at him. His eyes were shining proudly and he was smiling at her. "We are proud of you" he said, then all around her other ThunderClan ancestors began appearing, dipping their heads. She looked up and saw the old leader, Kestrelstar. "Greetings Kestrelstar" she said, dipping her head and looking at him with dignity. "We want to welcome you as ThunderClan's new Medicine Cat" Silverlight said, his eyes once more shining with pride and honor. "I am honored" she said. "Silverlight has taught you well and we hope that you keep his teachings in mind always" Kestrelstar said, nodding to a ginger she-cat, a gray tom, and a young tom with shining ember eyes. "Mother?Father? Embereye?" she whispered. Her mother, Gingerstorm came forward and gently nuzzled her muzzle. "I am pround of you, daughter" she said, nodding her approval at last. Hawfeather cam next, shining with pride. "I have always been behind you and always will be" he told her, flicking her ear gently with his tail tip. "Sis" Embereye came forward, nuzzling his head into her chest. "I love you, and I will always remember how you and Silverlight tried to save me after the badger" he said, licking her cheek softly. "Morningmist!Morningmist!Morningmist!" StarClan called. She shined with pride, this was HER clan to protect now, she would give her life for it.

Mintheart walked quickly to the Moonpool, she was very excited to see StarClan, and hoped that she would get to talk to her family. She walked down the slope to the Moonpool, and when she entered the cave, she felt calm and peaceful. She looked around, and saw Morningmist sleeping by the starry pool. Walking over to the pool, Mintheart layed down and lapped up the cool water. When she reopened her eyes, she was in a forest. There was no snow, and it wasn't cold out. Mintheart guessed that she was in StarClans hunting grounds, and she walked around the prey-filled forest. Suddenly, she picked up the familiar scent of Snowkit, and she saw him playing with a ball of yarn, near a bramble thicket. "Snowkit!" Mintheart said, her eyes glowing. She hadn't seen Snowkit in dreams for moons, and she missed him very much. Mintheart saw Snowkits ears prick up, when he heard his voice, and Mintheart ran over to him. "Snowkit! I missed you so much," Mintheart said, licking her brothers snowy pelt. Snowkit nodded, too distracted playing with the ball of moss. Mintheart flicked her tail impatiently. "Snowkit? Why don't you ever visit me in dreams anymore?" Snowkit finally looked up at her, but didn't answer her question, instead he meowed, "you are great at your medicine cat duties...keep working hard, and remember, I'll always be guiding you, when you need me." Before Mintheart could answer, Snowkit chased after the ball of yarn, disappearing in the forest. "Snowkit? Come back!" Mintheart called out sadly. She liked having her brothers company. Mintheart sighed, and a second later she picked up the sweet scent of her mother, Icefeather. Icefeather was walking towards Mintheart, her paws making now sound on the ground. "Icefeather!" Mintheart meowed, once her mother came to her. Icefeather licked her shoulder, and meowed calmly, "adventurous kittypets will cause no harm..." Mintheart stared at Icefeather. But before she could say anything, the peaceful forest disappeared, and she opened her eyes to see the calm water of the starry pool.[/size]

Morningmist lifted her head as she realized she was not alone. SHe smelled fish wafting in her nose, and knew Mintheart was here. "Greetings" she dipped her head, standing up and walking over to where the white she-cat had been sharing tongues with StarCLan. She yawned and stretched, her bright blue eyes revealing her exhaustion and drowsiness from the journey to the Moonpool. All Morningmist could think of now was a nice, plump, juicy mouse and to lie in her den and doze. SHe blinked the sleep out of her eyes and looked at Mintheart. "How's the prey running in RiverClan? Or should I say fish?" she joked, her eyes brimming with laughter and humor. "ThunderClan's Leafbare is treating us well, I'm about to have myself an apprentice" she puffed her white and dark gray chest and smiled proudly. "Her name is Icepaw" she said, sniffing faint rogue on the wind drafting in from the entrance.

"The prey is great, thanks." Mintheart meowed, looking at Morningmist, "and I'm sure having an apprentice will be a great experience. Good luck!" Mintheart was a bit jealous that Morningmist got an apprentice, she had always wanted one. Thinking of apprentices, made her think of Peachkit, a kit who was quite interested in herbs. Lost in her thoughts, Mintheart forgot about Icefeathers 'prophecy' briefly, but she quickly remembered. Twitching her tail, Mintheart said nervously, "Has...Thunderclan had any kittypets in their territory recently?" She hoped they didn't, ThunderClan territory was near Riverclan territory, and a cat could easily come over. Wandering kittypets could always cause trouble if they came near camp, even if they meant no harm. But why would Icefeather just warn me of a kittypet, that would cause no harm? It doesn't make sense... Mintheart thought, completely confused.

Morningmist looked at Mintheart after she replied, "and I'm sure having an apprentice will be a great experience. Good luck!". The white medicine cat seemed troubled. Her next question made Morningmist a little more curious and worried. "Has...Thunderclan had any kittypets in their territory recently?" Mintheart asked. "Not that I know of, wait! SPiritpaw and I were out the other day and we were attacked by a rogue, but not a kittypet" she said glumly. What was she worried about exactly?? Morningmist layed her head on her paws and roled over, matting her fur with dust. She yawned and blinked her eyes, trying not to fall asleep.

"Oh, okay." Mintheart meowed, a little disappointed. She looked at the starry pool, seeking guidance, but none came. Icefeather? Why are you warning me of a harmless kittypet? Gasping aloud, she thought, Maybe Icefeather predicts that a kittypet will join Riverclan?! Suddenly understanding, Mintheart twitched her tail irritably, Kittypets aren't supposed to join clans! They're supposed to be with their Two-legs...Riverclan will never accept a kittypet. Lost in her thoughts, Mintheart forgot Morningmist was there. "Oh! Sorry..I was thinking about something" she meowed, yawning, "well, it's getting late. Shall we go now?"

Morningmist saw Mintheart go off in her own little world, she guessed RiverClan was having some problems. "Everything alrite?" she asked, settling down. When Minthear suggested they leave, yawning, she replied, "Yeah, Brrrr, it's chilly" she said, scenting snow on the breeze. She looked around, scenting faint rogue once more. She shook her pelt and blinked, trying to see through the flurries falling quickly. It was SNOWING!!! yah! She opened her mouth and shoved out a small pink tongue, catching the flakes on it. She looked at Mintheart and smiled.

Mintheart felt a purr rumble in her chest, as she watched Morningmist catching the snowflakes. She too walked outside, looking at the snow-white flakes. The snowflakes matched her smooth white pelt perfectly, and they quickly melted as soon as they touched her fur. "Brrr" she meowed, fascinated by the snow. "It's really cold out here, I guess we should go home before it gets too cold." As she spoke, a fairly large snowflake was falling down, and Mintheart looked at it carefully, measuring now far up it was. Deciding that she could catch it, she jumped up as high as she could go, but missed. "Umm," Mintheart meowed, a bit embarrassed, "I'm not a really good jumper, as you can see."

Morningmist purred with amusement as Mintheart leaped and fell in the powder. "You have to put your weight on te back legs, and push with your front legs" she said, purring and leaping like a frog. She shook the flurriesout of her gray and white pelt and then smelt the rogue close, like it was behind them. "I smell rogue, let's get outta here" she whispered to Mintheart, crawling fast toward's the borders. She heard a shriek and turned around, seeing a gray tom flying towards Mintheart. "No!" she yowled, jumping for him just as he met Mintheart. She tore her claws through his pelt, screeching like all of StarClan. She slashed his ears, her eyes widening in fear and rage.

Mintheart jumped back from the rogue, terrified. She watched helplessly as Morningmist fought. Mintheart had no fighting experience herself. Even though medicine cats usually got basic battle training, she would always stink at it. She always knew she would end up being a medicine cat.

The rogue was a good fighter, and Minthearts fur stood on end as they fought. Oh no, Starclan help us! Mintheart thought, desperately. They couldn't run, because that would mean leading the rogue into their territories. Maybe if I help her fight, the rogue will get scared and leave? Mintheart thought, hopefully. With a loud hiss, Mintheart leaped at the gray tom, hardly hurting him. The rogue was furious, and he slashed his claws at Mintheart, thankfully missing. We need warriors to help drive this rogue off! Noticing that no cat could hear them, Mintheart yowled, "help! Help, a rogue is attacking!"
