F is for Friends.... wait what? (open) « Thread Started on Oct 4, 2009, 11:47am »
It was early morning in early Leaf-fall in ThunderClan camp. A chilly breeze was blowing through the pines and marshes, making a new kind of tune. Crickets could be heard chirping in the distance, and leaves were loosing their green hue and becoming gold, red, orange, and brown. This time of year was one warrior's favorite season, yet she had no one to celebrate it with.
A young, beautiful gray she-cat sat at the entrance to the warrior den, looking at the trees that surround her camp. Honeypelt always liked to watch things rise and fall. For example the moon and sun, the leaves changing colors and blooming, and the stars and clouds. Nature always had a part in her, and made her feel whole. That was the way she liked to calm down, and they way her pelt shined in the light. Each breath she took in sent calming peace messages through her body, and cooled her anger into pure bliss. I wish someone could be here to talk to, she thought. Sigh.

The sweet breeze hit Teddy's pelt. He shivered. Cold wasn't exactly his favorite. He sighed, unhappy of his awakening. He opened his eyes to the Leaffall morning. He glanced around him. A beautiful gray shecat sat at the entrance. He looked at her and cleared his throat. He quickly stood and ran out into the fresh air. His pelt glimmered in the sunlight. He shook it shaking of the dirt. The amber tint reflected and made him stand out. He padded over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a vole. He quickly went to the den and smiled at the shecat. He dropped the vole to speak, "Good morning," he meowed. Then he picked up the vole and sat where he was earlier. As he was about to eat, he thought guilty. He padded back over to the shecat and laid the vole in front of her. Then he went back to his nest. She needs it more than I do, he said reassuring himself.

As if a Human Monster had hit her, Honeypelt's breath was knocked right out of her lungs as the sight of the handsome tom. His amber tint shone bright in the early light, making her heart thrum. Looking down at her paws and the vole laid across them. A familiar smirk crossed her maw, warming the heart of any Tom. She had to dig deep to find her musical voice. "Good Morning. I don't think we met before, I'm Honeypelt," she chimed, smiling warmly.
Swiftly, the young warrior padded over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a sparrow. She returned to the den and placed the sparrow in front of him. "That was really sweet of you, so here. You need to eat something," she replied.

Teddy felt the sparrow hit his feet. He stood in the presence of the female. His large shoulders held his body taller than hers. He smiled at met her gaze. He quickly studied her eyes. "I am Beartail," he meowed, "but you can call me Teddy." He liked to let people use his nickname because it helps them to get closer to the person and helps the relationship to be less formal. He looked own at the sparrow. He breathed in its sweet sent and his appetite flourished. "I don't think we have met either, and thank you very much for the sparrow," he assured her. He met her gaze again and felt a warm rush sneak up his spine.

Staring into Teddy's eyes was like being without a map, she was truly lost. "No problem Teddy," she smiled. With a sigh in her head, she reluctantly broke their gaze. Turning to grab her vole, she walked back over to Teddy and sat beside him. The air sparked with feelings Honeypelt couldn't figure out. "So, how have you been Teddy? And how's ThunderClan treating you?" she asked politely. The warrior took a delicate bite out of her vole and licked her maw. Never was she so rude to Toms she just met. All about first impressions, she thought.

Teddy readjusted himself into the sitting position when the she cat approached him. "I am doing well, the clan is treating me fantastic. Like any other warrior," he began, "How are you?" He asked returning the favor. He took a few feathers off of the sparrow and placed them next to it. His teeth sunk into its skin and he chewed his meal, silently.

Honeypelt contently nibbled on her vole, savoring the sweet taste on her tongue. It almost seemed to melt in her mouth. Honestly, she liked this Teddy cat; he seemed like a really understanding and nice cat, unlike some of the other toms of her Clan. "I'm doing really fine thank you," she responded kindly. After a few moments of eating and nibbling, Honeypelt was almost done with her vole. "Hey Teddy, would you like to take a stroll later? Like on a patrol?" she asked, hopeful. Her heart was palpitating as she awaited his answer. Teddy was a really handsome and different tom, different in a good way.

Teddy was glad the warrior asked him to accompany on a patrol; he really wanted to get to know her. He smiled. "I am very happy that you are doing really fine," he commented. His eyed bounced to hers, "I would love to go on a stroll with you," he answered. "When would you like?" he asked. He felt a rush of Leaffall wind hit his back, he moved his eyes to follow it. His fur rippled, the texture was just amazing. He shook his pelt, trying to warm himself again. Honeypelt, he thought, marveling her name.

The warrior wondered and pondered for a few moments. When will the perfect time be? she wondered. Her eyes were melting into his and she sighed as the wind buffed her fur. "Uhm, how about later tonight, when the air is a bit cooler? If that's alright with you," she offered. Glancing at her paws, she saw that she'd hadn't disposed of her bones. Dipping her head, she swiftly left Teddy and buried her bones then came back. "Sorry about that," she apologized, become warm.

Teddy nodded his head as she suggested the time. "That would be just perfect," replied to her. Ask she went to bury her bones, he noticed he did not do the same. He picked the remains up with his jaw a padded slightly into the distance, he quickly buried his bones then came back to Honeypelt. "It is all right, I forgot also," he assured her. He smiled. "Tonight, ho thought. His thoughts pondered on the thought of patrol. He was truly looking forward to it. He was ready to get to know another in his clan.

"Tonight," Honeypelt repeated softly. The young cat's heart was racing like a humming bird inside a cage. Her pelt burned on her skin, causing her heart to race faster. Tonight. Aah, why must I wait so long? she thought. "Alright, I guess we have a plan," she smiled. Honeypelt's ear twitched as paw steps could be heard behind her, as did her nose at the familiar smell. Wolfheart, she thought. Honeypelt never really got to know Wolfheart, but had heard she was a really nice cat. Maybe she is, maybe not.

A gray she-cat padded up to the two cats sitting together, obviously flirting with each other. Yet, she didn't recognize the tom. Was he new, or had she been so wrapped up with Whiskerpool's disappearance that she didn't notice? He was pretty well built, but not her type. He seems nice, she thought, I guess I'll say 'Hi'.
Wolfheart padded over to Honeypelt and the new warrior in the camp. "Hey guys!" she greeted warmly, standing beside Honeypelt. "Oh hello, are you new? I'm Wolfheart," she introduced to Teddy.

Teddy nodded his head as another shecat appeared. "I am not new, but I believe we have not me," he began. "My name is Beartail, but if you would like to call me Teddy." Nicknames was his way of trying to break the brick walls some souls build against love and affection. Being able to use a nickname on someone, says that they can trust you and that they have made a bond with you. "It is very nice to meet you Wolfheart," he complimented her.

"Teddy. Well, nice to meet you, too," she responded, smiling a bit. Wolfheart could tell that Teddy was focusing more on Honeypelt. Who wouldn't? Wolfheart sighed in her head, After all, she is gorgeous. Felling a little rejected at the moment, she put on her best poker face and carried on. Looking at Honeypelt, Wolfheart could see the attraction Honeypelt felt towards the mysterious tom. Sounding oddly familiar to the warrior, memories resurfaced both good and bad. "Hey, I'm going on a little patrol later with Leafpaw. You two could come if you want to, we wouldn't mind," she invited.

Honeypelt smiled angrily at Wolfheart. Of course, that witch is trying to take Teddy away! It's not my fault Whiskerpool didn't want her! Honeypelt scowled in her head. This was one cat you didn't want to mess with when it came to toms. "Sorry, Wolfheart but we already had plans to go on a stroll later," she snapped, but had a smile on her face. It was obviously fake. The gray she-cat turned her back on the other she-cat and focused her attention on Teddy. "Sorry about that. She's been trying for every tom ever since Whiskerpool left," she whispered.

Teddy looked at the she cats. He felt as if he was being fought over. He smiled. "I would have loved to have gone, but as Honeypelt said we have plans already," he explained. He felt guilty as if he should be doing something for his clan instead of 'hanging out'. But he really wanted to be with Honeypelt. He let out a quiet chuckle as Honeypelt spoke into his ear. He almost immediately regretted it. What if Wolfheart heard him? He let his eyes fall to the ground, ashamed. His smile fell from his lips, no longer was this a joking matter to his eyes.
On August 21st of the year 2008 a young leader leaves her clan. But why? She was in love, deeply and fully in love. He was a loner, never knew about the clans till she came along. He loved her dearly, even after the day she died. She was pregnant, but she did not know it. She didn’t gain much weight and had no symptoms of the pregnancy. She gave birth to only one kit. Odd, isn’t it? Very rare at least. She died during the birth. The loner was devastated.
He took great care of the kit and named it in the remembrance of his lover. He fond another she-cat who had recently had kits and he asked her to nurse the young one. She agreed. The loner raised her afterward, taught her everything he knows. He even told her about the clans and that she could return. She turns his offer down and stays with him.
Although, she would wander and see the clan cats together and she longed for their company. When she became the age of a new warrior her father had died. He ate a dead crow and it was poisoned; probably why the crow died too. She decided to go and meet these clans.
She went there on a full moon, to the Four Trees of course. The two leaders that knew her mother had mistaken her for her mother. So did a resigned leader, Silvermist. Silvermist ran to the young cat. “Brightface,” she had shouted. Only to be proved horribly wrong.
The cat was shocked. ‘Did she know my mother?’ she thought.
“Hello,” Silvermist meowed, “I am Silvermist, proud warrior of Shadowclan.”
The young she-cat had a very confused expression, “Hello, Silvermist. I am Bright. I have lived as a loner with my father. My mother used to be in these clans.”
Silvermist lit up at once, “Well, it is very nice to meet you, Bright. Where is your mother?” she asked.
Bright looked down, “Not here,” she murmured. “She is with, as you call it, Starclan,” she sighed.
“Brightface is dead?” Silvermist meowed in shock and confusion, “how?”
Bright looked up, “She died giving birth to me.”
Silvermist smiled at the she-cat, “You poor thing, you must tell me everything, but first I need to speak to the others.”
Silvermist went up to the great Rock and said everything she knew so far to the other leaders and warriors. Most didn’t know Brightface personally but they knew she was a loved member of Thunderclan, once leader at that.
Fernstar had known Brightface very well and she told the rest of her clan tat they would all weep in her remembrance that night. And if they could not or would not weep, they would take care of the ones who were.
That night, Silvermist went to Barley’s Farm to speak with a few loners; trying to get the last moments of Brightface’s life figured out. She spoke to many, only few knew Brightface, but all of them knew Bright. She had most of the story filled in. During the night she met a rogue. She knew she was in deep the moment she spoke with him. He hated Bright’s father. She fought with him. There was blood lust and he wasn’t giving up. Silvermist ran, and went to her mate, Stormheart. He took her to the Medicine cat's den, and he went back to fight with the rogue. Stormheart lost and was never seen again. The rogue thought losing your mate was worse then dying, it made you suffer and live without your true love just like he did. The rogue was the one who poisoned that crow Brights father ate. He went to the Clans that night, with an army of followers, all bloodthirsty and ready to fight. All hell broke out.
